How to Upload Files in the Client Portal
Uploading files to your estate items helps you keep important documents — like receipts, valuations, and statements — organised and attached to the right asset, debt, or expense.
Follow the steps below to attach or remove files from items in the Client Portal.
📎 How to Attach a File
- Open the Client Portal and navigate to the step and item you'd like to add a file to — this can be an Asset, Debt, or Expense.
- Click Add to create a new item, or open an existing item to edit it.
- Complete the item details as needed.
- At the bottom of the form, click Attach File.
- Select the file from your computer folder or phone storage if on mobile.
- Click Save to save the item with the attached file.
🗑️ How to Remove a File
- Open the item containing the file you'd like to remove.
- Click the bin icon beside the file.
- Click Save to confirm the change.
🔒 When Files Can No Longer Be Changed
Once an item has been added to the Estate Overview by your firm, files can no longer be added or removed by you. If you need to make changes to files on these items, contact your firm directly.
If your firm has not yet added the item to the estate, you can continue to add or remove files freely.
