How to Remove a Person from a Matter

If a person was added to an estate matter in error, or is no longer relevant, you can remove them from the matter.

To remove a person from this matter, you need to remove the relationship in Clio directly by following the below steps.

🗑️ How to Remove a Person

1. Open the matter in Clio.
2. Click Edit Matter in the top right
3. Click Related contacts on the left menu
4. Click the blue X beside the person you want to remove
5. Click Save Matter

The contact will no longer appear on the EstateMin People table. To add the same contact again you must add them back to the matter in Clio.

💡 Note: Removing a person from a matter does not delete their Clio contact. Their record remains intact in Clio Manage and can be added again via Edit Matter screen.
