Once you've completed all of your portal steps, EstateMin will let you know. Your portal stays open afterwards, and your attorney can still share documents with you or send you a questionnaire. Here's what to expect after you finish your final step.
š Completion Confirmation
After you complete your final step, a confirmation message will appear on screen thanking you for completing the portal. This message will let you know that your attorney has been notified and will review your submissions. If anything else is needed, your attorney will follow up with you directly.
Click OK to dismiss the message and return to the portal.
š¬ What Happens Next
When you complete all of your portal steps, two things happen behind the scenes:
ā
Your attorney is notified. An email is sent to your law firm confirming that you've completed all of your portal steps. They'll review your submissions and reach out if they need anything further.
You'll receive a confirmation email. A confirmation email will be sent to you as well, confirming that your steps are complete.
This email also includes a short feedback request. We'd love to hear how you found the portal, whether it was helpful, and if there's anything we could improve.
š Can I Still Access the Portal?
Yes. Completing your steps does not lock you out of the portal. You can continue to log in at any time to review your submissions, view new documents your attorney shares with you, upload additional files, answer a questionnaire your attorney sends you, or make updates if your attorney requests changes. See How to View Files Your Attorney Has Shared With You.
š Your Attorney Can Still Send You a Questionnaire
Finishing your steps does not close things off. Your attorney can add a Questionnaire step to your portal afterwards, and you will receive an email letting you know it is there.
When that happens, sign in, open the new step, answer the questions, and click Submit answers. See How to Complete Your Questionnaire in the Client Portal.
š” Good to Know
You don't need to complete all of your steps in one sitting. You can log in and out as many times as you need and pick up where you left off.
Your attorney may share documents with you after you finish. When they do, you will receive an email letting you know, and the document will be waiting in the Estate Files step marked Needs review.
If your attorney sends you a questionnaire after you finish, or asks you to revise one you have already submitted, you will also receive an email.
If your attorney needs you to make changes after completion, they'll contact you directly and you can update the portal accordingly.
Your feedback is optional but appreciated. It helps us make the experience better for everyone.
